Duties on the Job
- Responsible to the Chief Executive Officer
- Moves the state’s top executive around.
- Contributes to the smooth running of the firm by taking care of a variety of activities, such as managing the budget, finding reliable contractors or suppliers, and stocking up on supplies for projects.
- Aids in keeping the business functioning well whether the CEO is there or not.
- Helps with the creation of secret paperwork and reports
- Perform data entry, file maintenance, and document review.
- Helps organize time for conferences and meetings
- Helps coordinate activities such as acquiring, inventorying assets, maintaining building equipment, ensuring safety, and disposing of unwanted items.
- Responsible for the upkeep, supervision, and security of all CEO-owned property, vehicles, and business matters.
- Find cost-effective ways to meet the cars’ and other equipment’s maintenance needs, subject to assessment and approval from the CEO and/or team leader.
- Make repairs and upgrades to buildings, vehicles, and machinery by coordinating with their respective suppliers.
- Help with tasks that have to do with logistics
- Helps ensure that (if necessary) items imported into Nigeria are tax exempt and are imported in accordance with Nigerian legislation.
- Performs research on maintenance and company-related issues and emergencies, monitors detailed action points, and keeps tabs on completed tasks.
- Executes without supervision the CEO’s and/or team lead’s predetermined routine and simple maintenance, repair, and post-job operational responsibilities
- Participate in large-scale projects with contractors, either by handling routine tasks or providing expert assistance.
- Verify that each day’s work is done and that each week’s schedule is followed.
- Assist the CEO with any additional tasks or errands that come up in the course of his or her business or personal projects.
- To plan and execute the logistics of business and leisure travel
- Go on business and personal excursions with the CEO (where necessary)
- Take charge of the CEO’s private obligations
- Give aid in a variety of administrative areas

Competencies and Prerequisites
- Candidates should have a High National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Secretarial Studies, Business Administration, or a comparable field, and 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven work history in a similar role, such as an administrative assistant, secretary, or personal assistant.
- In order to be considered, a candidate needs to demonstrate competent driving ability.
- A mainland address is required for consideration.
- Skill in locating and selecting suitable suppliers
- Ability to maintain one’s own car as well as fleet vehicles
- Capacity for logical analysis and critical evaluation
- Capable of setting priorities and sticking to them, as well as excellent time management skills
- Competence with Microsoft Office (MS word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
