As a field team member, you’ll report to the Regional Technical Executive and fly a lot.

The primary duties of this position are:

• Scope, Business Case, Timelines, and Resources
• Calculate capital expenditures, ROI, resource requirements, risks, and benefits for large, complex projects with production teams, process engineers, senior mill management, and others.
• Represent mills on committees considering capital requests and prepare business cases for approval.
• When needed, coordinate feasibility studies and double-check all documentation.
• Review and approve scope adjustments using strict governance standards.
• Create detailed project resource, time, and job breakdown schedules. Get backers’ approval.
• Capital expenditures, operating expenditures, talents, and change management elements must be determined.

Planning and directing a project

• New projects should comprise process engineers, manufacturing teams, process specialists, technicians, and component makers.
• Check the designs to make sure they’re complete and high-quality.
• Regression analysis is used when a process affects other portions of the plant.
• Plan, source, install, and commission new equipment for projects.
• Test, manage risk, report, and follow procurement policies.

Incorporating Risk Governance into Project Management

• Monitor your projects for issues that could affect the timeline, design, resources, testing, or implementation.
• Work closely with opinion leaders to identify high-impact risks and provide solutions.
• Keep track of cash flow projections, purchase orders, received products, and permissions.
• Keep project documentation up-to-date. Technical records, risks, issues, and supporting data must be kept.

Perfect candidate:

• PMP or Related Expert
• Minimum 8 years of manufacturing project implementation experience AND a National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering OR
• 5+ years of manufacturing project management experience and a BSc/BEng in mechanical/electrical/chemical engineering.
• SAP-savvy
