Responsibilities on the Job

  • Get in touch with new enterprises and their employees and pitch them on Nedbank’s services so they may start banking with you.
  • Use mobile technology to attract customers outside of the conventional branch network.
  • Work with businesses to create financial wellness programs for employees.
  • Find untapped sales potential through networking with the people who work for newly discovered businesses and the areas in which they operate.
  • Do a needs assessment to determine what the business and its employees require financially.
  • Establish rapport with key internal contacts to facilitate teamwork, sales/service support, and the discovery of new prospects.
  • Make an effort to network with other businesses in your industry to improve customer service and open up new sales channels.
  • Consistent client engagements can lead to new business prospects, therefore it’s important to cultivate and nurture internal relationships to guarantee internal sales support from Retail, Relationship, and Business Banking.
  • Assess progress toward sales and service goals and make adjustments as needed.
  • Make it easy for Nedbank to market its products and services through local businesses and communities.
  • Utilize tools for risk management in accordance with Nedbank’s standards (e.g. ultraviolet lights to identify false identity documents).
  • Take measures to prevent and/or eradicate problems in community sales areas.
  • Go to the meeting and contribute to the discussion.
  • Inform your coworkers and team mates of what you have learned and what has worked well for you.
  • Ensure that you are on track to meet or exceed your sales and service goals by reviewing your action plans and making any necessary adjustments.
  • Make it easy for Nedbank to market its products and services through local businesses and communities.
  • Utilize tools for risk management in accordance with Nedbank’s standards (e.g. ultraviolet lights to identify false identity documents).
  • Do something to stop the problems from happening in the first place, or at least do something to make them less severe.
  • Go to the meeting and contribute to the discussion.
  • Inform your coworkers and team mates of what you have learned and what has worked well for you.
  • Give back to Nedbank’s culture by participating in its development programs (e.g. staff surveys etc.).
  • Take part in and back CSR efforts that help the company reach its goals.
  • Look for ways to apply agile thinking to enhance existing business models, systems, and procedures.

Essential Level of Experience

Have at least four to five years of experience working in a financial institution, preferably in a customer service and/or sales capacity.

Qualifications Needed – National Qualifications Framework Stage

  • High School Diploma; Matriculation; National Senior Certificate
  • Postsecondary Certificates/Higher Degrees at the National Level
