A reputable and progressive Abuja hospital wants immediate employment excellent and career-minded Finance Professional in its Finance Department.
The Role:
The primary responsibilities of a finance professional include budgeting, planning and sourcing of funds, analysis and reporting of financial data, and management of all monetary transactions inside an organization.
Principal Duties:
- Carry out in-depth analysis and projections of commercial or research trends;
- Manage the creation and evaluation of plans for spending, projects, regular business, contracts, and more;
- Help with budgeting and cost estimates for the project;
- Analyze financial data to ensure optimum use of resources;
- Make sure you’re following all local, state, and federal laws.
- Contribute to the completion of all activities required to realize the company’s objectives.
- Train the Finance, HR and Administration personnel and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial and human resources management matters.
- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on the introduction of strategic financial management.
- Provide advice to management on design and execution issues after evaluating the potential benefits of any upcoming contracts.
- Ensure proper controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases have adequate audit trails.
- Oversee the management and coordination of all financial reporting activities for the company
- Attend Management and Project meetings.
- Make sure there is enough money coming in to cover expenses.
- Cost-effective benefit plans and other fringe perks that the company may give employees and future employees are researched in order to attract and retain talented individuals.
- Assist with the formulation, rollout, and timely computation of employee wage incentives, commissions, and wages.

Requirements:
- In-depth familiarity with today’s accounting concepts and methods.
- Accounting system design and implementation skills
- The ability to dissect financial reports and other accounting data.
- Competence in administration accompanied with initiative, ingenuity, honesty, thoroughness, accuracy, and resourcefulness.
- Acquiring a fundamental understanding of accounting fundamentals.
- Ability to plan and organize effectively for a business.
- Controls and Analysis in Finance
- Commercial IQ and Strategic Planning Capacity.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
NEEDS OF THE WORKPLACE
Education
- An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline and
- Chartered Accountant (ACCA) or Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) credentialed.
- Acquiring a Master’s in Business Administration is highly recommended.
Knowledge of Management Procedures
- You have 8 years of accounting experience, 4 of which were spent supervising others.
- Corporate Finance experience gained over the course of five years with a multinational organization is highly desirable.
SKILLS
- Superb abilities in both spoken and written expression.
- Competence in resolving difficult situations.
- Capability to monitor and assess staff
- Candidate must be computer literate and have experience with at least one accounting program.
- You’ll need to know your way around a spreadsheet and be familiar with financial modeling in order to put numbers to and visualize your regular financial reports, statements, and projections.
