Scholarship value: $50,000

The Scholarship aims to draw in new, talented overseas students from key target markets to study a variety of subjects related to Western Australia’s priority industries and sectors. The $50,000 grant will be applied in semester installments to the successful applicant’s tuition and fee accounts.

Eligibility:

In order to qualify for the Scholarship, candidates need to:
  1. have been given a letter of acceptance for a new enrollment* as an international student studying onshore, starting in Semester 1 or Semester 2 of 2024, or a start date after January 1, 2024, depending on the student’s programme of study (for PhD students), and pursuing full-time studies (minimum two years) at one of Western Australia’s five universities.
  2. be travelling to Western Australia for a designated semester in 2024 in order to start their education during that semester. (Have not attended a WA university before)
  3. possess fulfilled the requirements to be granted an international student visa in order to study in Australia. They plan to arrive in the State of Western Australia (the “State”) in 2024 and start their on-campus studies during the semester for which they have applied.
  4. be starting their studies straight out of an undergraduate or graduate programme rather than going through a foundational, packaged, or English language track.
  5. If they are granted a WA Premier’s University Scholarship, they should be ready to turn down any other scholarships that the University, State, or Commonwealth may have given them in the past.
  6. apply to the university as a foreign student who will be paying a fee.
  7. be a national of one of the following nations and apply to the university from a place other than Australia: Republic of Korea (South Korea), Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, China, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, The Philippines, Vietnam, Zimbabwe
  8. be enrolled in the programme and spending all of their time at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle campus.
