The Role

Helps with Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance from a technical point of view. Maintains and improves machines and equipment to increase or keep a high level of reliability, availability, cost-efficiency, performance, customer relations, and teamwork.

Key Areas of Performance

• Electrical and mechanical operations, as well as maintenance work.
• Maintenance checks, fixing problems, helping with planning and preparation, keeping track of results, and keeping records (outcome, root cause, time, improvements).
• Do risk assessments, shift reports, and reports on accidents.
• Follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Key performance indicators should be met.
• Follow the rules for quality and cleanliness.
• Sharing the operational status and any changes.
• Safety and cleanliness (5S) rules must be followed. Follow all practices for safe operation.
• Personal and business growth and development happen all the time.

Needs a profile

• Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification / Equivalent Qualification
• Section 13 of the electrical or mechanical trade certificate
• Basic computer skills, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook from Microsoft
• Mining experience that counts (5 years)
• Underground mining in the production section
• Knowledge of English
