Customer Service Assistant

The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, operate the front desk efficiently, and ensure that patients are registered quickly and accurately.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Front Office Operations/Business Administration or a degree in a business related subject.
  • Two years of experience in a customer service/reception workplace, primarily focusing on customer care.
  • Excellent organization and time management skill.
  • Ability to retain productivity under pressure and to multitask well.
  • Tact, diplomacy and sensitivity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Knowledge/experience in management information systems.
  • Must be computer literate with great skills in computer packages

Position Description

  • As needed, transfers calls and works with central reception to ensure phone coverage.
  • Welcomes and greets patients/clients/visitors to the department in a courteous and friendly manner; determines reason of visit and directs to appropriate person or department (s).
  • Schedules clinic patient flow based on prearranged appointment arrangements to service enough patients.
  • Screens patients for new addresses, new patient visits, or updated registration when scheduling appointments and advises them of necessary information to bring.
  • Provides exceptional patient service with sensitivity and diplomacy; follows Clinic confidentiality and privacy regulations.
  • Keeps patient waiting spaces, office files, and front-desk areas tidy.
  • Other tasks as needed.
